Join us at The Mill for this unique event! This Santa, as portrayed by Kevin Rawlings, celebrates the first publication in 1848 of the book-length, illustrated edition of Clement C. Moore's poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” more commonly known as “ ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.” This was the first time the public saw a full visual representation of Moore's Santa and his reindeer, solidifying him as a jolly, gift-giving figure. Again, there is no admission fee and all are welcome to attend.

Join us as the The Dorcas Society of Reedy Point visits. These lovely ladies will be cooking a hearth Victorian Christmas meal, making Victorian Crafts and caroling in The Lee Mansion’s restored 18th Century kitchen. No admission fee. Stop by and see the fun.

Join us on for a festive evening of wreath-making in The Lee Mansion. Bring a friend—or make some new ones—as you create a full evergreen wreath and enjoy some light snacks. We provide all the necessary supplies: wreath frame, wire, greens, and natural decorations (pine cones, dried flowers).

Note: Workshop is limited to 12 participants. On average, it takes about 2 hours to make a wreath. This event is currently SOLD OUT.

"Civil War Santa" will visit McCourtney’s General Store on Saturday, November 29 from 1 - 4 pm. The “Civil War Santa",” as portrayed by Kevin Rawlings, will be handing out candy canes to the children and parents are invited to take photos of this unique version of Santa. He also will talk about the history of “Civil War Santa,” based on his very well researched book on the topic. He will be bringing copies of numerous depictions of Civil War Santa as shown in magazines of the time, such as Harper's Weekly.  There is no admission fee and all are welcome to attend.
